At Stubcroft we support various charities both within the UK and abroad. In 2026 so far we have donated £11,750 to nine charities as follows

Here are a few of our chosen charities and the reasons we think they are worth supporting.
UNICEF
Millions of children and families are in immediate danger as war continues to escalate in Ukraine, Gaza & other conflict zones around the world. In Ukraine, 7.5 million children have been deeply affected by the ongoing conflict. Homes, schools, water supplies and hospitals have been damaged or destroyed. Children have been separated from their families, and hundreds of thousands of people have been left without clean water, food or electricity. Explosives are a daily threat to children’s lives. UNICEF are working around the clock in Ukraine and at the borders of neighbouring countries and around the world, providing access to clean water, health care services and other critical support.
Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine, Gaza, Venezuela and other Humanitarian Appeals around the World
More than 6 million people have fled Ukraine and another 7 million have left their homes to escape the illegal Russian invasion of their country, leading to a huge humanitarian crisis. Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across the country have had devastating consequences for civilians. Homes have been destroyed. Families have been separated. Lives have been lost. This pattern has repeated around the world in Gaza, Venezuela & other countries as a result of geopolitical conflict and natural disasters
In Europe, millions of refugees have fled to Poland, Romania, Hungary and Moldova, often arriving with only what they could carry. In Ukraine, those who are unable to leave due to age or disability find themselves isolated, without access to food and basic necessities.
DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine, Gaza, Venezuela and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.
Médecins Sans Frontieres
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a humanitarian organisation delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters or exclusion from healthcare. They run projects in over 60 countries, often working in dangerous and difficult conditions and include doctors, surgeons, nurses, midwives, medical scientists and other healthcare & logistical workers. They provide surgery & essential healthcare, tackle epidemics, vaccination, feeding centres for malnourished children, clean water, blankets, shelter and other basic necessities. We particularly like this charity as a high proportion of the money raised goes directly to medical projects.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary:
The Clock Tower sanctuary provides a safe and supportive space for vulnerable young people who are homeless in Brighton & Hove. Last year they had over 4000 visits and they are entirely funded from local donations.
Sightsavers
are a charity working across many developing countries whose aim is to both cure sight problems such as cataracts and prevent problems occurring such as river blindness. It is a good charity where a small amount of money can provide life changing surgery or cures for people affected by these conditions and help them live a full & productive life in the future.
The Red Cross
Across the world, escalating conflicts, health emergencies and climate disasters, from wildfires to flooding are taking a devastating toll. In the UK or abroad in Ukraine, Venezuela, Gaza or the wider Middle East, the British Red Cross is to bring comfort and aid when all hope and humanity feels lost.
Water Aid
Worldwide, 696 million people – almost 1 in 10 – don’t have clean water close to home. 1.5 billion people don’t have a decent toilet of their own and 1.7 billion people don’t have soap and water to wash their hands at home. Wateraid is a charity committed to provide safe drinking water in third world countries, something we take for granted every day in the UK.
Mercy Ships
Mercy Ships are a volunteer led international charity, providing humanitarian aid around the world like free health care, community development projects, health education, mental health programs, agriculture projects, and palliative care for terminally ill patients.
Save The Children & NSPCC
Two children’s charities, one helping vulnerable children abroad, the other helping vulnerable children in the UK.
Promise Nepal
A small local charity based in Chichester tackling leprosy in Nepal.
Amnesty International
A charity opposing discrimination, intolerance, violence & abuse across the world & fighting for human rights of those prisoners of conscience who have been unjustly imprisoned & tortured for their beliefs.
Oxfam
A charity helping disaster & famine relief throughout the world. They have problems but are still worth supporting.
Greenpeace
An organisation dedicated to preserving the environment & holding large corporations to account over environmental issues. Simon was one of the early photographers for Greenpeace during the 1980’s donating his spare time & resources to promoting some of their causes.
