(Earlier arrival or later departure may be permitted on request if the campsite is not busy) Please arrive early enough to pitch your tent before sunset. We do not allow any pitching of tents after 9 pm (or after sunset if earlier) as it causes nuisance to other campers and children who may be sleeping. Pitches may be re-let after 6 pm unless we are notified of later arrival. A £10 late check in fee may be charged for arrivals after the office is closed or late arrivals may be directed to a temporary overnight stay areas to avoid disturbing campers already on site.

Pitches: Please allow a clear 1.5m metre gap between tents, caravans, campervans, motorhomes, or anything else on your pitch and the white marker posts either side of your pitch for fire safety as per the site pitching diagram displayed on the website, reception and on the “Welcome” leaflet given to you on arrival. Your pitch size will be reserved according to your booking: if your tent/campervan is larger than the size of pitch you booked we cannot guarantee the extra space and you will have to pay the difference. Gazebos and Event Tents are only allowed in Oak field and will require extra space to be booked in advance (in other fields an extra pitch will need to be booked) Please use breathable groundsheets.

Specific Pitch Requests: Whilst we will do our best to accommodate individual specific pitch requests, pitch allocation will be subject to the operational needs of the campsite on the day of the booking, and we cannot guarantee a particular pitch will be available.

Car Parking & Safety: For the safety of all customers and especially children & pets, during busy holiday periods, customers (except blue badge holders) will be asked to park their cars in the car parking area after setting up. Customers may drive to their pitch to set up & take down and to deliver heavy shopping & young children etc. but at other times including overnight, cars should not be parked on pitches. This is for safety reasons to reduce the risk of accidents and minimise the noise & nuisance of car noise, stereos & headlights etc. especially at night-time and to stop the campsite looking like a car park. During quiet times, only one car may be allowed to be parked on each pitch – please check with reception.

Wet Weather: During periods of wet weather in the best interests of other campers, site safety & to prevent the site from getting muddy, damaged and vehicles getting stuck, we may prohibit vehicles from driving on the grass. Cars should be parked in the alternative parking areas. Wheelbarrows & assistance can be provided on request to carry equipment or move caravans & campervans to your pitch if ground conditions permit. We reserve the right to change pitch allocations if required during wet weather periods. If you are a caravan, campervan or motorhome and have not booked an all weather hardstanding pitch, on the rare occasions when the grass is too wet to drive on in summer, we may upgrade you to an all weather hardstanding pitch if possible, or if these are fully booked, we will carry forward your booking in full to a future date. From October to March or during exceptionally wet weather, whilst the all weather hardstanding pitches may be useable, awnings will not be allowed on the grass section if the ground is saturated for slip & safety reasons. Awnings should be removed for periods of adverse weather to avoid damage.

Right to Refuse Admission: We reserve the right to refuse admission to or remove any person from the campsite at any time without refund. We may exercise this right for reasons of public safety, suspected intent to breach site rules such as excessive noise, any unacceptable antisocial behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury, bringing unapproved/dangerous animals, fireworks, commercial vehicles or unauthorized group sizes or to preserve the peaceful enjoyment of other guests. We take a zero tolerance stance on hate speech, harassment or discrimination of any kind and anyone found to be demonstrating any of these will be asked to leave immediately. No refunds will be issued if admission is refused or if you are asked to leave due to any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Noise & Nuisance: Quiet Hours are between 10.30pm & 8.00am. Entrance gates will be closed between these hours and late arrivals are asked to park outside & walk to their pitch quietly to avoid disturbing other campers and sleeping children. Music is to be kept at a reasonable level, please respect your neighbouring campers, and ensure you are not a nuisance to other campers on the site.  Please respect other camper’s tent space especially when playing ball games etc. Parents are asked to ensure adequate supervision of children especially in the shower & toilet block and ensure they are safe & not a nuisance to other campers. Generators are not permitted on the site. Anyone causing a nuisance after being warned by campsite staff will be asked to leave without refund.

Children & Parental Supervision: Parents should ensure children are supervised at all times whilst on the campsite & especially whilst using the shower & toilet facilities for their own safety. Please make sure they are not causing a nuisance to other campers and ensure they do not stray from the camping field where you are pitched or allow them near any farm machinery.

Group bookings: We accept a limited number of group bookings provided that all campers in the group respect other campers on the field with regards to noise and nuisance. Groups must be pre-booked and have a nominated person responsible for the group and to co-ordinate the booking. Prior to booking, the group leader should send an initial contact email to mail@stubcroft.com with dates & full details of each pitch required. We will then confirm availability and send a copy of our group policy, a group summary sheet which should be completed & returned plus instructions how to book. Members of the group can then book individually quoting the group leaders name and these T&C’s will apply from the time of booking. Please note that, if you want to be together, groups should book the same pitch size/type & dates and minimum nights may apply to weekends, bank & school holiday periods. We do have a maximum limit on group bookings which should always be booked under one group leaders name. Please do not try to circumvent this by booking separate groups or extra individuals under different names as they will be cancelled without refund.

For family groups / couples a £20 security deposit per tent / 2 people will be due on arrival & refunded on departure if no complaints received / no damage is done. For other groups a £20 per person deposit will be due. Please note that for groups we have a “collective responsibility” policy for the group with regards to noise & nuisance.

Whilst we do our best to put everyone together for group bookings, at busy times, it may not be possible to mix different sized pitches or electric / non-electric pitches as, like most campsites, they are in different areas of the campsite.

Dogs: Please keep dogs on a short lead at all times on the site and ensure they are not a nuisance to fellow campers. Any mess should be cleared up immediately and do not leave your dog unattended on the site or in a vehicle at any time. We do not allow any dogs on the Dangerous Dogs list or, in our opinion, are likely to be aggressive.

Lost Property: Please do not leave valuables in the shower & toilet area. Customers are responsible for their possessions & we recommend customers to take out travel insurance that covers losses of valuables etc. Any lost property items will be held for three months then either donated to charity or placed in our Freecycle system with any donations going into our charity box.

Electric Hook-ups: Electric hook-ups are provided subject to the following condition. They should be used in accordance with the guidelines on our website & in the welcome pack given out on arrival. Customers should only use the supply for the pitch they have booked & paid for and must not plug into or use a second hookup from a neighbouring pitch. The supply provided is only for use in a single caravan, campervan or tent (with CE approved tent hookup unit) and should not be extended by using any type of extension unit for safety reasons. Electric cars should not be charged on pitch hookup units, there are dedicated car charging units available, please ask at reception. Whilst we will do our best to ensure continuity of supply, use of the hook-ups is conditional on the customer accepting responsibility that, in the event of a power trip or failure they will provide their own backup power supply to run equipment such as fridges, freezers, medical & other equipment (eg: their internal 12v battery or a suitable charge pack & inverter etc) and indemnify Stubcroft Farm Campsite Ltd, against any subsequent loss, liability & claim. If a customer overloads & trips the supply, we will reset the supply during office hours from 9am to 9pm but outside these hours customers will need to use their internal 12v lighting etc. until the office re-opens. We reserve the right to withdraw the supply or charge a reset fee if customers regularly or persistently overload the supply. Customers should not reset the supply themselves for safety reasons as we need to do a safety check each time the supply trips. They are regularly checked & tested by a qualified electrician and will only trip if they are overloaded or there is a safety earth leakage, this is for your safety.

Waste Disposal & Recycling: All recyclables must be sorted into the correct bins. A re-usable recycling bag will be issued to all campers on arrival to help with recycling. Items that can be recycled by Chichester District Council are printed on the bags. When you leave, please empty your recycling in the Green recycling bins and return the bags to reception for cleaning & reuse for other campers. Stubcroft Farm is run on sustainable, environmentally friendly grounds and we ask that all campers respect that ethos. To preserve the countryside for future generations and ensure that you can enjoy this area for your future visits, we ask that campers try to minimize environmental damage and landfill by waste reduction & recycling. Bins are for domestic waste only please do not leave large items such as damaged gazebos, tents, or furniture.

Barbecues & Campfires: We allow Barbecues and Campfires subject to certain safety conditions, please see the Campfires page on our website. Please notify reception on arrival if you intend using a BBQ or having a campfire. At certain high fire risk times campfires may not be permitted for safety reasons. Barbecues and campfires are allowed in suitable steel containers only, set at least 18-24 inches (60cm) off the ground so they do not damage or burn the grass and at least 3m from hedges, tents or cars. You may bring your own BBQ or firepit providing they comply, or you can hire one from reception. No fires to be lit on the ground under any circumstances. Any damaged pitches may incur a re-seeding charge. Please place firepits & disposable barbecues on blocks which may be found by the entrance of each section and return blocks after use. No firewood is to be collected or cut from the farm or surrounding areas and lanes – firewood & kindling are available from the campsite shop, or you may bring your own. Ash must be placed in the metal ash bins after use – under no circumstances must ashes, charcoal, part burnt logs / disposable BBQs etc. be placed in the rubbish bins or thrown into hedges as they may cause a fire.
