Visit England / Tourism South East’s “Beautiful South” Awards 2025-26

Sussex based Stubcroft Farm Campsite achieved three Gold Awards in this year’s prestigious “Beautiful South” Tourism & Hospitality Awards at the Grand Hotel, Brighton.

The awards are organised by Tourism South East / Visit Britain, the UK’s leading national tourism organisation responsible for both setting the UK’s accommodation standards and promoting the hospitality industry in the UK & abroad. They recognise excellence across the UK’s tourism industry and are judged on a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities & customer service to impact on the environment, accessibility and inclusivity.

Stubcroft received Gold Awards for “Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year”, “Accessible & Inclusive Tourism” and the new “Regenerative Tourism” award which replaces the old “Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism” award.

Tripadvisor 2025 Travellers Choice

Stubcroft Farm Campsite have received the highly sought after Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award for 2025 for the eighth consecutive year. The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards celebrate hospitality businesses that consistently earn great reviews from travellers for delivering exceptional service and quality around the world and are ranked in the top 10% of properties on TripAdvisor.

Visit England / Tourism South East’s “Beautiful South” Awards 2024-25

Sussex based Stubcroft Farm Campsite achieved a record four awards in this year’s prestigious “Beautiful South” Tourism & Hospitality Awards at the Grand Hotel, Brighton, including “Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year”.

The awards are organised by Tourism South East / Visit Britain, the UK’s leading national tourism organisation responsible for both setting the UK’s accommodation standards and promoting the hospitality industry in the UK & abroad. They recognise excellence across the UK’s tourism industry and are judged on a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities & customer service to impact on the environment, accessibility and inclusivity.

Stubcroft received a Gold Award for “Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year”, a Silver Award for  “Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism” and a Bronze Award for “Accessible & Inclusive Tourism”.  Our Operations Manager Michaela Rozborilova also received the Bronze Award in the  “Unsung Hero” category for outstanding customer service!

The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards celebrate hospitality businesses that consistently earn great reviews from travellers for delivering exceptional service and quality around the world and are ranked in the top 10% of properties on TripAdvisor.

Stubcroft Farm Campsite has won the national finals of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)  2024 UK Sustainability Award

The FSB is the UK’s leading business organisation representing over 200,000 businesses across the country. The award was presented by TV’s Tess Daly at a dazzling awards ceremony celebrating the FSB’s 50th anniversary at Blackpool’s historic Winter Gardens Empress Ballroom.

Gold Award from Quality in Tourism in recognition of their commitment to responsible, ethical & sustainable tourism

Stubcroft Farm Campsite has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award from Quality in Tourism in recognition of their commitment to responsible, ethical & sustainable tourism. The award recognises the sustainable & environmentally friendly aspects of the campsite. It incorporates a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities, accessibility, energy efficiency, responsible waste disposal & recycling, environmental & wildlife projects and much more.

Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) 2024 South East Region Sustainability Award

This award recognises the region’s most ethical, socially responsible and green business. The Federation of Small Businesses represent Small & Medium Enterprises (SME’s) across the UK.

The campsite also received the 2023 – 2024 “Safe, Clean & Legal” Award.

Stubcroft Farm Campsite have achieved the unusual triple awards success for the second time in the prestigious “Beautiful South” 2021/22 Tourism Awards in three different categories. The awards recognise excellence across the UK’s tourism industry and are judged on a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities, customer service and Covid safety to impact on the environment, accessibility and inclusivity.

They received the Gold Award for the  “Campsite of the Year” for the third year running,  a second Gold Award for Access & Inclusivity and also the Silver Award for “Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism”.

They received the Gold Award for the  “Best Camping, Caravanning & Holiday Park” for the second year running,  a second Gold Award for “Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism” and also the Silver Award for Access & Inclusivity.

Stubcroft Farm Campsite has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award from Green Tourism in recognition of their commitment to responsible, ethical & sustainable tourism. Only two other campsites in the whole of the UK have achieved this accolade. The award recognises both the range & quality of facilities and the environmentally friendly aspects of the campsite. It incorporates a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities, energy efficiency, responsible waste disposal & recycling, environmental & wildlife projects and much more.

TripAdvisor’s “Travellers Choice” Award

Stubcroft Farm Campsite have been awarded TripAdvisor’s “Travellers Choice” award for 2020. Tripadvisor gives the Travellers’ Choice award to hospitality businesses around the world that consistently earn great reviews from travellers for exceptional service and quality and are ranked within the top properties listed on TripAdvisor. Double Covid 19 Accreditations for Stubcroft Farm Campsite

Stubcroft Farm Campsite pleased to be awarded “Covid Safe” accreditations from both Quality in Tourism (QiT) and Visit England. The Quality in Tourism “Safe, Clean, Legal” accreditation includes a wide range of criteria from specific Covid 19 risk assessments and safe procedures including hand sanitising points, cleaning & disinfection routines, social distancing measures, temperature checks and much more. Stubcroft campsite wins major national Tourism Gold Award for Best Campsite, Caravan & Holiday Park at awards presentation hosted by Simon Calder!

Stubcroft Farm Campsite won a prestigious Gold award for the best Campsite, Caravan & Holiday Park category in the “Beautiful South” Tourism Awards ceremony held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton. The awards recognise excellence and innovation across the UK’s tourism industry and was hosted by the celebrated TV travel commentator Simon Calder.

Stubcroft Farm Campsite has been awarded a prestigious “Quality in Tourism” 4 star rating for 2019 – 2020 season. The rating is based on a rigorous inspection of all aspects of the campsite from the efficiency of its operation, the quality, range and cleanliness of the facilities to the friendliness and ambience of the campsite itself.

Tripadvisor “Certificate of Excellence” for 2019

Now in its ninth year, the achievement celebrates businesses that are consistently excellent having earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include restaurants, accommodations and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

“Certificate of Excellence” recipients are judged on the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12 month period. To qualify, a business must maintain a consistently high TripAdvisor bubble rating throughout the past year.

Visit England / Tourism South East’s “Beautiful South” Awards

In 2018 we were honoured to be finalists in the prestigious “Beautiful South” Awards in three different categories. The awards recognise excellence across the UK’s tourism industry and are judged on a wide range of criteria from the quality of facilities & customer service to impact on the environment, accessibility and inclusivity. At the Awards ceremony at the Grand Hotel in Brighton we were presented with the following awards.

The campsite was awarded a Silver Award for second place in the Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism (REST) category, coming a close second to Blenheim Palace, hereditary seat of the Dukes of Marlborough!

We also received a Bronze Award in the “Best Camping, Caravanning & Holiday Park” Category and a further Bronze Award in the “Access & Inclusivity” category.

Stubcroft Farm Campsites’ haul of three awards was only bettered by the Mary Rose Trust, one of the UK’s most prestigious tourist attractions.

Small family run local business does well against major UK businesses!

Stubcroft Farm Campsite Ltd,  a family run business based in the Wittering’s near Chichester, have been selected as Regional Finalists in the prestigious Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) South East Regional Awards in the Ethical & Green Business Category.

Managing Director Simon Green said “I am very pleased to be a finalist in the prestigious FSB Regional Awards.  For a small family run business to be in the same league as major national businesses is a great honour. Credit must go to all our hardworking staff who made this success possible! I am especially pleased with being chosen in the Ethical & Green Business Award category as it shows that you can put the environment & these issues as part of your core business plan & grow and succeed. We are proud to put Chichester and West Sussex on the tourism map & represent this great area in the FSB Awards.”

This is the fifth award for the campsite in the past year. Last May Stubcroft was awarded Green Tourism’s Silver Award. Only two campsites in the region achieved this, the other one being a National Trust site. In December Stubcroft won three awards in the Visit Britain’s  “Beautiful South” Tourism finals. A Silver Award in the Sustainable Tourism REST category (Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism), and Bronze Awards for Best Campsite & Caravan Park and also for Access & Inclusivity. For a small family run business to be in the same league as  major national tourist attractions is quite an achievement!
