We like to think of our shop as being a bit like a traditional Village or Corner Shop. We can also take pre-orders for you to collect on arrival, ideal if you are arriving in the evening after work.
It might be small, but there is a lot packed in it! We stock a wide range of groceries, toiletries, cold drinks, ice creams and general camping supplies. During the season fresh milk & juices, fresh bread, dairy products such as butter & cheese, fresh fruit & vegetables and much more are available. A hot drinks “café” style menu is also available.
A local butcher supplies us with locally produced sausages, bacon, beef burgers, dry aged steaks and a wide selection of barbecue meats including our ever-popular family Barbecue packs. We also have vegetarian options available.
We also sell a range of hot drinks, including Teas, Coffees & Hot Chocolate, (complete with marshmallow toppings on request for kids of all ages!) For those hot summer days, we stock a good range of Cold Drinks, Juices & Ice Creams. To complement your drinks there is a range of cakes, bars muffins & other snacks and there are tables & chairs on the patio area to relax & enjoy your refreshment break. Wherever possible we try to source local & fair-trade produce and we are reducing plastics by using recyclable products such as paper straws & compostable eco-friendly coffee cups & lids. For hot drinks we also give a 20p discount for customers bringing their own reusable mugs. We also stock locally produced items like Caroline’s Dairy Ice Creams, Sussex Charcoal, Southdown’s Water, Brownie Bay cakes, Horsham Gingerbread and much more.
Campfires & BBQs are catered for with our own sustainably produced seasoned logs, kindling, firelighters & BBQ charcoal available, we even sell marshmallows & toasting sticks for the complete campfire experience! The shop even stocks a wide range of camping products. There is nothing more irritating than arriving and realising that you have forgotten a vital piece of equipment, so we stock all the commonly asked for items from torches, batteries & gas cylinders to tent pegs & sleeping bags and much more.
Toiletries including shower gels, shampoos, toothbrushes & toothpaste, deodorants, feminine products etc. are stocked and even basic pharmaceuticals including paracetamol, ibuprofen, hay fever & allergy relief & indigestion.
For families with children, a good range of traditional camping games & toys are available from footballs & frisbees to playing cards, skittles, quoits & more, ideal for families to rediscover the joys of family fun away from computer games & screens.
Our own honey from the farm and occasional seasonal produce from the Kitchen Garden are also available.
Our shop has a 5 star “very good” food hygiene rating.
(*Please note that during the low winter season from October to March, as we only have a small number of “All Weather” hardstanding pitches in use, the shop is only open on request and does not stock perishable short dated food items or hot beverages. Most items including camping goods & a limited range of confectionery, cold drinks, long life non-perishable groceries such as tinned goods, UHT milk and pasta etc. will still be available and there are plenty of shops, cafes & eateries nearby in Bracklesham or East Wittering villages}
